If everything else seems unclear, this is the foundation of our faith. The disciples couldn’t stop telling the story, though it cost them their lives. They didn’t understand or believe at first, but they knew what they saw. Why would they die for a lie?
This is the message the darkness hates. They tried to make Him go away, but they weren’t powerful enough. That’s good news!
He gave His life for ours. ❤️
Worship happens so naturally in nature. Join all of creation in praising the One who made us and loves us!
Take heart! Every act of hatred is also an opportunity to stand with the vulnerable and forgive. We are struck down, but not destroyed. We won’t be overwhelmed with evil, but we will overwhelm evil with good. Light shines in the darkness and the darkness can never extinguish it. That’s how we win!!!
One key to living in freedom is by controlling what we allow our minds to dwell on. We can’t prevent every negative emotion or thought that enters our mind, but we CAN choose our focus. Find life and peace by choosing to focus on things above today!
Peace be with you today as you set your mind on things above.
How would those closest to us at work or home describe us?
This conclusion was drawn by the author John, arguably Jesus’ best friend. John saw Him die and saw Him alive afterwards. He didn’t just conclude “Jesus loved me”.... He said Jesus is God and God is LOVE. He embodied love. Love wasn’t just something He did, but who He was. Wow!
Unity does not require uniformity! Love values diversity and doesn’t depend on requiring each person to share the exact same views. Listen and speak with respect ... everyone believes they are right!
Those who hope in the Lord will NEVER be disappointed!!!
Jesus is always lifting up the children of God in prayer! “He is able to save completely those who come to God through Him, because He always lives to intercede for them.” — Hebrews 7:25
The peace of God is available despite our pain, problems, or circumstances because He himself is our peace!
History says that when Jesus’ friend Lazarus died, Jesus came to his home and wept. Even though He knew He would bring Him back from the dead, He cried. All the friends and family said, “Look how much He loved him!”
Faith turns history into hope. Hope in a good God who is crazy about us. Someday we will better understand how loved we always were by the Father … just as much as Lazarus!
If I set you free, you will be free indeed! —Jesus.
Freedom in Christ is different than worldly freedom. In Him, we are forgiven and blameless in the eyes of our Father. We have power to walk in the light, no matter what is going on around us.
When someone apologizes, we often say, “No worries! It’s all good.” That means we don’t want anything to come between us. I believe that’s how God feels! Grace means that even though we don’t deserve it, we are forgiven by Him. Our offense is covered. It’s different with people. When we hurt someone, we can ask for forgiveness and we may or may not receive it. But, we DON’T need to wonder whether God is willing to forgive us. God has already forgiven us! “God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them.” Have you accepted His gift? ❤️
